as I sit here...
As I sit here looking at the screen as I've done previously throughout the week I wonder what I should write about. I've just been through everyone's updated blogs and thought I should now take my turn and add "more" as twitch pleads.
This week has been quite a journey already. Its actually amazing how time once again has proved to be so confusing, sometimes it flies by and you can't seem to get things done, but this week although it has flown by, it has been so jam-packed I feel as if I should have had atleast 3 weeks to do it all in. I'm not too sure if this last paragraph made any sense at all, I'm not sure its grammatically correct but I know what I mean and take my word for it- that time is a strange concept!
Its been good to get back and see so many friendly and happy faces, its taken me longer than usual to unpack my room which disrupted life to quite an extent, however the new element in my life has been digs hunting. This process of selecting not merely a house but rather a home can be rather frustrating, trying and tiring as well as pretty exciting as it speaks of a new beginning, a new season, something different and a new adventure to embark on.
This new adventure has been undertaken by many on campus, but my partner in crime is none other than the lovely Natalie Sturgeon. Now I must say I'm rather grateful for fish as we're pretty similar in tastes and opinions so it makes life easier when you drive up to a potential house and before you have to even get out the car there's a unanimous decision made as to whether or not its worth actually pursuing the possibility or not! She's also managed to keep me so positive and hopeful, reminding me that there's the perfect home for us already decided and its just waiting for us.
So the lessons of the week in a nutshell, time is strange, faith and hope are essential and I'm glad to be back...
